Do it Yourself Flowers

In an ongoing attempt to make the process of art making inclusive, I made a series of sculptures that allow the viewer to create or re-form elements of a sculpture or installation. This was the original idea behind the Large Flowers, which are meant to be played with or manipulated by the audience. For an installation at the Brewster Project I made a paper version of the flowers that could be cut out and put together by anyone who could use a scissors. The installation grew over the weekend, and the people who came in to the storefront exhibition space both added to the installation and took home flowers to keep.

I have included the paper version of those flowers, which can be downloaded, printed and used in any way you choose. For best results, print or copy onto card stock or other heavy paper, and enjoy your own paper garden!
